The Position is office based and requires some experience in this industry.
The successful applicant will be selling an electronic assembly service from an established company. The company uses the latest technology equipment including a placement machine(Mydata), Auto Optical Inspection machine(Mirtec) and X-Ray machine(Mirtec). We also have twin Wave Soldering machines, one for Leaded and one Lead free for through hole components. All soldering irons are colour coded red for leaded and green for lead free.
Next year Almec EAS will be celebrating 40 years trading and we therefore expect our Sales Engineer to have a basic knowledge of electronic components. It helps to recognise the components but you dont need to know how the circuit works.
We are happy for the Sales Engineer to sit with our production team until he/she becomes familiar with the components involved.
Our Client base is varied some of which have been with Almec for 30 years plus.
Initially the position will be office based, telephoning potential clients. The Sales Engineer will then visit these Clients and sell the Almec Service to them. If any questions become difficult please use the company brochure or website. If this doesn't help, phone back to base where a relevant member of staff will answer your questions. It makes sense to say "I dont know, but i will find out".
If a meeting is positive please try and obtain a Bill of Materials and some idea of the quantities involved. Almec EAS can then provide you with a quotation to offer to your Client. Dont be nervous of this position. Ask and keep asking until you are happy with the answer.
All sales are subject to 1/4% commision.
